What is the National Farm Workers Association?
The National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) was founded by Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta in 1962. It was established to help improve the wages and working conditions of agricultural workers through union representation. The NFWA eventually merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee to form the United Farm Workers (UFW), a powerful labor union that championed the rights of farm laborers.
