Windsor Knot

Start Position:

• Begin with the wide end of the tie on your right side and the narrow end on your left. The tip of the narrow end should sit just above your belt line.

Cross the Wide End:

• Cross the wide end over the narrow end, forming an X.

Wrap Around:

• Wrap the wide end behind the narrow end from right to left.

Bring Upward:

• Bring the wide end upward, passing it from underneath to the top of the knot.

Across the Front:

• Cross the wide end across the front, from left to right.

Behind the Knot:

• Wrap the wide end behind the knot from right to left.

Across the Front Again:

• Cross the wide end across the front again, from right to left.

Upward:

• Bring the wide end upward, tucking it between the collar and the knot.

Down Through the Loop:

• Drop the wide end down through the loop created in the front.

Adjust and Tighten:

• Hold the narrow end with one hand and slide the knot up with the other, adjusting as needed.

Final Adjustments:

• Tighten the knot by pulling on the wide end while holding the knot firmly. Adjust the knot and dimple (the small indentation just below the knot) for a polished look.

Even Lengths:

• Ensure both ends are of equal length.
