Are faith and belief the same thing? Can someone believe in God without having faith in God?
No faith and belief is not the same thing but you do need both to work hand in hand in order to solidify your relationship with the creator. Example you have a husband or wife that you're legally married to but they don't do the basic works /faith of a husband or wife or they don't show you in any way that they love you.
