What are indoor plants that release oxygen at night and how do they work?
Some indoor plants are known to release oxygen at night, unlike most plants which release oxygen during the day through photosynthesis. These plants perform a type of photosynthesis known as Crassulacean Acid Metabolism (CAM). During CAM photosynthesis, these plants absorb carbon dioxide at night and convert it into oxygen. Popular examples include succulents such as Aloe Vera and Snake Plant (Sansevieria).
