How can I create multiple events? What is a multiple-session event? What is a recurring event?

You can simply create your events one by one. But if you intend to let them share the same community (event group), we recommend you create a multiple-session event; all sessions in a multiple-session event share the same private event group. If your events are held in one place with the same experience but at different times, we recommend you create a recurring event for them.

What is an event session?

If you want to let your guests share the same community (event group), you can make multiple events to pack as a single one. Then you put each one as an event session. After that, you can manage an event session separately.

Can I import data from my previous event?

When creating a new event, you can import data from your previous well-defined events. Except for time-related data from recurring events, all information and settings are imported, including the start time, the end time, and the session-related settings if any, etc. It might be more efficient to create an event from the old one, but please review and revise them carefully before saving.

When I import data from my previous event with sessions, how can I modify the imported session data?

When creating a new event with imported data and sessions from the old one, the imported session data is listed in the “With the following sessions” section. Simply click or tap on the imported corresponding session name to edit the session data. You can delete an imported session by the “Delete” link, or add a new session by the “Add a new event session” button at the end of the section.

What to do if the holding place of the event is not determined when created?

When creating an event, you can set it to “location will be determined later,” but we recommend that it’s better to create your event after the holding place is determined. Setting the location to be determined later will decrease the possibility of purchasing tickets for your event.

Can I select more than one category for an event?

Unfortunately, you can’t do it now. Please select only the category most applicable to your event. We will evaluate this requirement and it may be added in the future version.

Can I add pictures or videos in the “About” section?

Only text characters are allowed in the “About” section, but you can create a detailed page for your event, and on that page, pictures and videos are always good choices for describing your event better. Simply click or tap on the “Create a page for event details” button at the end of the “About” section.

What are the guidelines for producing a good event or ticket image?

We recommend producing an image at the exact resolution of 840x440 pixels with clear text in the center and as small a size as possible. If the image is larger than 840x440 pixels, it will be reduced to that resolution automatically, and it may produce a poor image if there’s any small text. If the image size is larger than 10MB, it can’t be uploaded.

What is a ticket type?

A ticket type is a place to hold a group of tickets with the same price and conditions.

Why do I need to set a seat number limit?

It’s not necessary, but if you want to control the maximum number of people joining your event, you can set this limit on that event/session. This limit is set at the event/session level. That is, no ticket can be sold if this limit is reached, even though the ticket number limit is not reached. By the way, this number is counted as seats. One ticket may require one or more seats, which depends on your settings for that ticket type.

Why do I need to set the number of seats occupied on a ticket?

If you set a seat number limit on the event or session level, we need this number to calculate how many seats are occupied when your ticket is sold. If there’s not enough vacancy, the ticket sales are stopped. During the buying process, the ticket purchaser is requested to fill in forms, which are set by the host. The number of seats occupied on a ticket is regarded as the same as the number of people this ticket could accommodate. The ticket purchaser is requested to fill in the forms for each person separately.

Why is it optional to set the maximum quantity on a ticket?

You can definitely set the maximum quantity on a ticket for some use cases. However, in some cases, it is not efficient to set the maximum quantity for every ticket. For example, you set a ticket for one person at full price and another ticket for two people at a discount price, but it’s difficult to predict how many ticket purchasers will buy a one-person ticket and how many will buy a two-person ticket. In this case, you can set a seat number limit at the event or session level and leave the maximum quantity on a ticket blank as unlimited, and then if there’s not enough vacancy, the ticket sales are stopped, even though the ticket maximum quantity is unlimited.

What does “Add a ticket by referencing a created ticket” work?

If you want to create two tickets with similar settings, it is helpful to create one ticket first, and then add another ticket by referencing the previous one. When referencing another ticket, the settings are duplicated on the new one, but you can review and update them as you desire.

I have two classes that share the same place with different times. Can I create one recurring event to hold them all?

Yes, but only in the case that you want all your guests in these two classes to share the same community (event group). Actually, we recommend that all recurring events share exactly the same experience. If they are sharing different experiences on different dates, it may become confusing because all recurring events share the same ticket settings and event details.

Is it necessary to create a form for my event?

No, it’s optional. If you think it’s a good idea to ask your guests to answer a few questions, such as their names, ages, etc., when they purchase your tickets, you can create a form by selecting questions from the ready-to-use question pool or writing your own questions.

I need to ask my guests to fill in form A for session A and form B for session B. Can I create different forms for different sessions? Can I create several forms for recurring events?

Normally, you can only create one form for a single event, but for a multi-session event, you can create one form for each session. You can even copy the form from the previous session and then edit it to save your time. By the way, for a recurring event, all occurrences share the same form.

Can I add a question to the ready-to-use question pool? Can I change the title or the hint of a candidate question in the ready-to-use question pool?

No, you can’t. Please simply pick up one or more questions from the question pool, or you can create your own question by tapping or clicking the “Add a custom question” button. We may add more questions to the question pool, if appropriate.

Is there a question limit when creating a form for my event?

There’s no limit to adding questions to your form. However, we don’t recommend you add more than 10 questions to the form. Please note that tickets will be reserved for 30 minutes during the buying process. If you add too many or too complex questions to the form, the purchaser may not be able to complete the buying process within 30 minutes.

I am creating a multi-session event. Do I need to create the forms for each session one by one?

If the forms for different sessions are similar, you can create a form for the first session, and after that, for other sessions, you can copy the form from the first session and edit it, if needed. Please note that copying the form from another session will simply replace the original form that was created previously.

No, when you copy questions from the form of another session, the copied form will simply replace the original form. If there are any questions previously added in the original form, they will be removed and replaced.
