FAQ About iSupport FAQs
iSupport provides both in-depth information surrounding dementia and a series of modules designed to help dementia caregivers cope with their challenges. The manual consists of five (5) modules, each with accompanying activities that you can try, namely: (i) introduction to dementia; (ii) being a caregiver; (iii) caring for me; (iv) providing everyday care; and (v) dealing with behaviour changes. These modules allow you to select content based on your individualistic needs and the struggles of your care.
The iSupport manual offers support to all dementia caregivers!
The manual can be viewed and downloaded by simply clicking this link: https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789241515863
You may find it easier to navigate the manual by browsing through the table of contents. Next, select and read the pages based on what you are looking to overcome or need help with.
Participation in the study is optional! The manual is free to the public and the dementia caregiver community.
As of now, there is only an English version of this manual. Hence, the findings from the research can be used to adapt and design a manual suitable for the Brunei population.
Our hotline will first contact you to offer the manual and will reach out in the next 2 weeks to invite you to participate in the study. This gives you enough time to gather enough experience with the manual before the evaluation interview. The date, time, and venue of the interview will be discussed later on. You may also directly contact us through mobile number +673 8775468 for any inquiries.
Although participation is voluntary, you are encouraged to share your experience with the manual as your feedback can allow us to adapt the manual to a more suitable support service for the caregivers in Brunei. Your contribution to the findings of this study can also encourage the increase of iSupport manual use which ultimately helps other caregivers’ who may be struggling with similar challenges.
Your name and specific details that can be associated with you will not be disclosed at any time throughout the study. Also, all data gathered and included in the findings will remain anonymous.
