What is travelogue?
A travelogue is an honest account of one's travel experiences, usually told in the past tense and in the first person. The terms voyage and monologue are derived from the Greek words monos (alone) and logos (speaking, speech). It attempts to be a true depiction of a person's travel experiences, including descriptions of what the traveler sees, hears, tastes, smells, and feels while on the road. It also contains descriptions of a traveler's inner world as well as notes and opinions about history, society, and culture, which we learn about while traveling.
