The city’s carved rose-red sand-stone rock facades, tombs, and temples became a UNESCO heritage site in 1985.It was the capital of the Nabataea Kingdom, accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq. It is a stunning collection of tombs, temples and ancient living spaces of the Nabataeans civilization.
