FAQ About Power Rangers

Power Rangers was created by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy. The two producers developed the concept for the show in the late 1980s after seeing the success of the Japanese Super Sentai series, which featured a team of superheroes fighting evil forces. Saban and Levy adapted the concept for an American audience, combining the action footage from Super Sentai with new footage featuring American actors. They pitched the idea to various studios before finally getting a green light from Fox Kids in 1993.
