The Queen's favorite breed of dog is widely known to be the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Queen Elizabeth II has had a deep affection for Corgis throughout her life and has owned several of them over the years. Her association with Corgis began when she received her first Corgi named Dookie as a child. Since then, she has owned numerous Corgis and Dorgis (a Dachshund-Corgi mix) and has been frequently photographed with them during her reign. However, in recent years, the Queen has stopped breeding Corgis, and her last Corgi, Willow, passed away in 2018. Despite not having Corgis currently, her fondness for the breed is well-known.
