What are the disadvantages of online education?
In traditional classrooms, teachers can provide immediate face-to-face feedback to students; Students who have problems with the curriculum can quickly and directly solve these problems during class or during special study hours. While personal feedback increases the motivation of the students, they affect the students positively as they make the learning process easier, more efficient and more meaningful.
The educational methods currently applied may cause students to immerse themselves in thought, to distance themselves mentally from the created virtual environment, and to lack interaction.
Lack of self-motivation in students remains one of the main reasons why students are unable to complete online courses.
Developing students' communication skills is an often neglected topic during online classes. Due to the lack of face-to-face communication between peers, students, and teachers online, students may find that they cannot work efficiently in a team environment.
