Can I disable aging in The Sims 4?
Yes, you can disable aging in The Sims 4 if you prefer to have your Sims remain at a specific age indefinitely. Disabling aging allows you to maintain the current life stage of your Sims without them progressing through the usual aging process. Here's how you can disable aging:
In-Game Options:
- Launch The Sims 4 and load your desired household or gameplay.
- While in live mode, pause the game and click on the "..." icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to open the Options menu.
- From the Options menu, select "Game Options."
- In the Game Options menu, navigate to the "Gameplay" tab.
- Look for the "Auto Age (Played Sims)" option and uncheck the box next to it.
- This will disable aging for the Sims you actively control and play.
Story Progression:
- Additionally, you may want to disable story progression to prevent other Sims in the game world from aging.
- In the same "Game Options" menu, navigate to the "Other" tab.
- Locate the "Enable Story Progression" option and uncheck the box next to it.
- Disabling story progression will stop non-played Sims from aging, marrying, having children, and changing jobs.
