There have been several expensive Hello Kitty items sold over the years, but one of the most expensive was a diamond-encrusted Hello Kitty figurine created by designer jeweler, Mouawad. The figurine was made of 18-karat white gold and adorned with over 26 carats of white and pink diamonds, including a rare 5-carat pink diamond. It was auctioned off for $163,000 at a charity auction in Hong Kong in 2013. The proceeds of the auction were donated to the Red Cross to help with disaster relief efforts.
