Can cheddar cheese get moldy?
With hard cheeses, such as Emmental cheese, mountain cheese, cheddar, Gruyere, Comté and Parmesan, slight mold infestation is no reason for the bin: The harder the cheese is and the lower the water content, the more safely the mold can be cut off generously (0.7-1 cm) in one piece.
