Is cheddar a cheese type?
Cheddar is a hard cheese made from raw milk or pasteurized cow's milk. In the production of the cheese, also known as “cheddaring”, the cow's milk is mixed with rennet enzyme and heated until cheese curds have formed. The solid curd is then cut into blocks and layered on top of each other.
