Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 2 cups (480ml) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
