Can I send files on Discord?
Yes, you can send files on Discord. Discord allows users to share files in direct messages as well as in servers. Here's how you can send files on Discord:
Sending Files in Direct Messages:
- Open Discord and log in to your account.
- Locate the user you want to send a file to in the left sidebar or search for their username.
- Click on the user's name to open a direct message chat with them.
- In the chat window, click on the "+" icon next to the text input field.
- From the options that appear, choose "Upload a File."
- Select the file you want to send from your computer, and Discord will start uploading it.
- Once the file is uploaded, it will be sent in the chat, and the recipient will be able to download it.
Sending Files in Servers:
- Open Discord and log in to your account.
- Select the server in which you want to send a file from the left sidebar.
- Locate the channel within the server where you want to send the file.
- Click on the text input field at the bottom of the channel to start typing a message.
- If the text input field does not have a paperclip icon, click on the "+" icon to open more options.
- Click on the paperclip icon to open the file upload interface.
- Select the file you want to send from your computer, and Discord will start uploading it.
- Once the file is uploaded, it will be sent in the channel, and other members of the server will be able to download it.
Please note that there are file size limits for uploads on Discord, depending on your account type. Nitro Classic users can upload files up to 50MB, while Nitro users can upload files up to 100MB. If the file exceeds the limit, you may need to compress or reduce its size before uploading.
