How do I create a Discord server?

Open the Discord application on your desktop or launch the Discord website in your web browser.

Sign in to your Discord account. If you don't have an account, you can create one by clicking on the "Register" button and following the on-screen instructions.

Once you're logged in, look for the "+" button on the left-hand sidebar. It is located at the bottom of the server list.

Click on the "+" button, and a pop-up menu will appear with two options: "Create a Server" and "Join a Server." Choose "Create a Server" to proceed.

In the server creation window, you'll need to provide some details:

  • Server Name: Enter a name for your server. Choose a descriptive name that reflects the community or topic of your server.
  • Server Region: Select the geographic region that is closest to your location or the majority of your intended audience. This helps optimize server performance.
  • Server Icon (optional): You can upload an image as an icon for your server. This is purely optional and can be customized later.

After entering the required details, click on the "Create" button.

Congratulations! Your Discord server is now created. You'll be taken to the server interface where you can start customizing and managing your server.

To invite people to your server, you can use the server's invitation link. Click on the "Invite People" button on the server interface, and a pop-up will appear with an invitation link. You can share this link with others to invite them to join your server.
